Harlem Shuffle

I have really loved some other books from Colson Whitehead. The Underground Railroad and Nickel Boys were both so beautiful, painful and lifelike in the story and writing. With Harlem Shuffle, I loved learning a bit about the Harlem of the 60s from this story. I just found that it moved so so slow. I wanted more. There was adventure, fear, a chase. And it all felt a little cloudy- almost like the author wanted to do everything but romanticize those moments.

Do I recommend: No sorry but try his other books for sure
